If you are interested in optioning any of my books or stories for film or TV, please take note of the following conditions. I've been through this a time or two and I am tired of being burned by wannabes and daydreamers. If you're serious, and a professional, you have nothing to worry about. I'm a professional and I'll treat you like one. I've crafted the following conditions to make sure I both weed out those who are not serious, and to encourage those who want to develop my works into a viable, bankable project.

You'll find that these conditions are mild; I have no unreasonable demands. What I ask for are those things normally afforded someone in my position. I want them out here, in the public eye, to show my good faith and my willingness to work with people who desire to work with me. But please remember: All reasonable offers will be considered! So here goes...

1. The Contract

I want a written option contract. A standard option contract in plain English is just fine. I'd like the contract to be delivered to me for consideration within two weeks after you contact me, and we agree to do business. After the final version of the contract is approved by both parties, I will have the contract signed and returned within three working days.

2. Money

I'm not greedy. I want to get my foot in the door of the Hollywood machine, so I'm willing to take less than most writers demand. Because of the relative viability of my works, I realize that some will demand more than others. If you think I'm asking too damn much, let me know. If you want to talk about option fees on the back end, let's talk. I'm a reasonable person:
